            Signal Isolator SI99 ออกแบบมาเพื่อแยกเส้นทางไฟฟ้าระหว่างแหล่งสัญญาณที่ส่งและอุปกรณ์รับ เช่น ตัวควบคุมหรือเครื่องบันทึก เป็นต้น ตัวแยกสัญญาณช่วยแก้ปัญหาความผิดเพี้ยนของสัญญาณที่เกิดจากความต่างศักย์ของกราวด์ โดย SI99 เป็นตัวแยกสัญญาณมีประสิทธิภาพสูงในการกำจัดการถ่ายโอนสัญญาณที่ไม่น่าเชื่อถือหรือไม่ถูกต้อง การแยกกระแสสัญญาณโดยสมบูรณ์ตัวแยกสัญญาณ SI99 ใช้พลังงานจากกระแสลูปอินพุตดังนั้นจึงไม่ต้องการแหล่งจ่ายไฟจากด้านนอก

            ลักษณะการใช้งานของ Signal Isolator

            1) ป้องกันการเกิด Ground Loops ซึ่งเป็นสาเหตุ ทำให้ค่าวัดไม่คงที่ หรือผิดจากความเป็นจริง

           2) ป้องกันความเสียหายที่จะเกิดขึ้นกับ PLC หรือ DCS เนื่องจากสัญญาณรบกวนที่เกิดขึ้นทางด้าน Transmitter เช่น ฟ้าผ่า หรือจาก A.C. Line โดยตัว Signal Isolator ทำหน้าที่เหมือนกำแพงที่ป้องกัน ไม่ให้สัญญาณเหล่านี้ ส่งเข้าไปทำความเสียหายให้ PLC หรือ DCS ได้
